VISION BOARDS WHILE WRITING
When writing, you can use vision boards to develop individual characters or to develop topics and material. You can create a board for a single location or you can make a board for a novel, on which you collect what inspires you: pictures, snippets of text, colors, postcards, fabrics - there are no limits to your imagination, just on a pin board or something else Wall it has to fit. For example, I've written two novels set in New York. Accordingly, I have created various pin boards. A real one to touch like in the photo here. And I also have digital ones that you could watch here for my Christmas novel in New York or here . Or here are my colleagues from Impress VerlagLaura Kneidl .
WHY VISION BOARDS?
When I write, I keep these boards in mind to empathize with the scene. Once again, it's about stimulating your brain and getting it to make associations. In addition, such a vision board helps to get in the mood at all. I know a lot of writers who use boards like this. Even if they simply call it a "pin board" or have a folder in which they collect pictures. But nowadays you usually collect pictures online and buy expository essay.
THIS IS HOW YOU CREATE A VISION BOARD "YOU CAN TOUCH" AND HANG IT UP:
1.) Take a pin board, a large piece of paper or cover a piece of cardboard with wrapping paper or another paper in a neutral color. Of course you can also use your favorite color or wallpaper, but I prefer neutral colors. This is your board!
2) Think about your topic: a novel, a character, a setting.
3) Get thumbtacks or glue and scissors to cut out, possibly index cards and pens to write down individual sayings and thoughts, newspapers and magazines, postcards or pictures, no matter where from.
4) You can of course also search for pictures on the topic on the internet and print them out and cut them out.
5) Post the pictures and sayings and the material on your pinboard as you like. You don't need to be tidy, you can tape a board tightly or less tightly, but you should like to look at the result.
HERE'S HOW TO CREATE A VISION BOARD ONLINE
Use Pinterest for this or Evernote, for example. I would say that Pinterest's many users speak for how simple and practical this site is. Collect the pictures, quotes and links that inspire you on the topic on a "pin board". For example, Google your topic under “Google Images” and use the links. I use these boards as a collection of ideas. But to get in the mood while writing, a board hanging in front of or next to you on the wall is more effective in my opinion. But you can also collect pictures online and then print them out for your vision board and my premium essay.
I wish you a lot of fun with the technology (also wonderful to distract yourself from writing, by the way) and post your vision boards if you create one.
